Description
I've recently been reading The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and this is how I picture Roland. A lot of interpretations show him with jackets and fancy waistcoats and stuff, but I think he'd dress much more simply, given that he spends a lot of time in the desert during the first book. Plus, he just doesn't seem the dressed-up sort.
This is also the first time I've done this style of pixel art - i.e. a low-res version of a character. I stayed away from the tall, thin-limbed type of work in favour of more solid proportions, and I'm pleased with the result.
I used the edg32 palette in Aseprite to make this, and it was nice to stick to a specified palette for a change.
